Ribbit in a Thicket
Ribbit in a Thicket featuring an American toad and peonies is an exploration in bringing a slow, small moment to the forefront. It is an experimental stop-motion animation made by scanning layers of painted duralar.
This animation is part of Snail Mail; a community-engaged public art project that facilitated the exchange of limited-edition art postcards with community responses. Ribbit in a Thicket was viewable in augmented reality, superimposed over corresponding postcard when seen through the mobile app Artivive.
